For nearly a decade, I've believed that the biggest opportunity to reinvent healthcare won’t happen in a hospital. It will be in everything that happens before someone ever needs one. That belief is why I co-founded Eucalyptus, a trusted global digital health platform that has facilitated nearly two million consultations since 2019. And it's the same belief that's now bringing Hims & Hers to Australia for the first time.

Today for the first time, Hims is officially serving customers in Australia, with the local rebrand of Pilot. This marks a critical starting point. Men's health has long been an under-served, often stigmatised corner of healthcare. Australian men are still far less likely than women to see a doctor regularly, and issues like sexual health and hair loss are often ignored until they take a toll well beyond the physical. Closing that gap is exactly why Hims exists. It's one of the most trusted names in men's health globally, serving millions of men across sexual health, hair loss, weight management, and more. Today, that same innovative, proactive, judgement-free model — and the clinical rigour behind it — is available to Australians for the first time.

Preventive care is the point

Too much of healthcare, in Australia and everywhere else, is built to respond after something has already gone wrong. National health systems are designed to support people in times of need and crisis. But the institutions that make up those systems — the hospitals, the emergency departments, the specialists with month-long waitlists — work best when they're treating the people who truly need them, not absorbing the volume that can be managed elsewhere.

That's a core mission behind Hims & Hers, and it's why I'm so energised about bringing the platform to Australia and to more markets around the world. We can help more people stay and feel well for longer, so that the public systems Australians rely on remain strong for the people who need them most. Sexual health, hair loss, weight management are exactly the categories where early, consistent, judgement-free care can be managed directly with the customer through consumer-first approaches like digital health. That's not just better for the individual. It's better for the system around them and those that support it.

Why Australia, why now

Australia is a natural next step in Hims' global growth strategy. Building on a strong foundation across North America and Europe, this entry positions Hims & Hers to lead the next era of digital health in a country that's moving fast. Australia's telehealth sector alone is projected to grow to USD $2.56 billion by 2034. We expect the Australian market to play an important role in helping us reach $1B in international annual revenue within the next three years.

But this isn't just about market timing. Nearly 30% of Australians live in regional and rural Australia, , where getting care for some of the most important health issues men face has too often meant a long drive, a long wait, or simply going without. Pairing Pilot's local trust and clinical expertise with Hims' proven digital platform changes that equation, bringing personalised, high-quality care to more Australians.

What's changing, and what isn't

Current Pilot customers will keep everything they already valued — the same care team relationships, the same platform they know — while gaining the clinical rigor and track record that has made Hims a trusted health partner for millions of men around the world.

We're also introducing combinations of care that bring together treatments that some customers previously received separately, including for premature ejaculation and cholesterol management. Patients will also gain access to new clinical pathways across multiple treatments and innovative formulations.

For Australians, with Australians

Serving Australian customers well means building with local leadership, local understanding, and specialised medical expertise from day one. Every Australian customer will interact only with Australian medical providers, who understand local context and needs. As part of my global purview, I'll be overseeing Australia alongside Gus Wood, General Manager of Australia, and we're fortunate to have Dr. Matt Vickers, a leading, practising GP, serving as our Chief Medical Officer in Australia.

This is the first of several global brand transitions we'll be rolling out following the Eucalyptus acquisition this year, and I couldn't be more excited to lead it. More to come soon.
