Delivering on our vision for safe and affordable access to GLP-1 injections took us over a year because our diligence required vetting dozens of manufacturers across the country with a wide range of expertise and safety standards. We hold ourselves and our partners to the most stringent standards in the market, and it was imperative we identified a partner aligned with our best in class standards.

While in some cases these standards go beyond what may be required by law, we believe that they raise the bar in helping instill trust and confidence in our offerings.
Hims & Hers Safety Standards for Compounded GLP-1 Injections
- Formulated in Industry-Leading Facilities: To ensure customers feel confident in the products they receive during this period of acute demand, any compounded GLP-1 medications available through our platform are produced exclusively in FDA-regulated 503B facilities in the United States. While applicable law does not require this, we believe the rigorous oversight 503B facilities are subject to, including the requirement that they follow current good manufacturing practices, helps ensure customer trust during this period.
- Ingredients Are Sourced Exclusively from FDA-Regulated Manufacturers: Ensuring product validity, concentration and consistency is table stakes. Our partners source all active ingredients exclusively from FDA-regulated suppliers.
- Medications Are Tested for Consistency & Quality: Each batch of medications produced are independently tested for sterility, content, and amount of active ingredients to ensure the enclosed product matches what is specified on the label. Certifications of Analysis (CoA) which validate each of these metrics are readily available upon request.
- Temperature Controlled Storage & Shipping: GLP-1 injections are produced at our partner facilities under temperature-controlled supply chains consisting of refrigerated production, storage, and distribution facilities. Medications are always shipped under controlled temperatures necessary to ensure the treatments stay within their shelf stable temperature range. In warmer months especially, ice packs are included to ensure shelf stability in regions where necessary.
- Sterile, Single-Use Injections: With every shipment, customers receive the necessary number of single-use sterile syringes and alcohol swabs for safe self-administration of the medication. Educational materials on how to administer safely, along with information regarding side effects, are always included.
- Adverse Events Tracking & Procedures: At any point, our customers can report side effects and adverse reactions, helping ensure our partner production facilities are informed in a timely manner. These procedures allow for timely investigations and incident reporting within the appropriate timelines established by the FDA.
